Peter Mooney, Esq.

As an Attorney of Counsel at Silverpine Law, Mr. Mooney represents businesses and individuals in high-stakes negotiation, arbitration, and litigation. He handles disputes concerning professional malpractice, commercial insurance coverage, business-to-business contracts, construction, defective products, and premises liability.

Prior to joining Silverpine Law, Mr. Mooney worked for over thirty years as a Commercial Litigation Partner at White and Williams LLP, a 200-attorney firm in Philadelphia. While there, he brought over 70 cases to trial before judges, juries, and arbitrators. He simultaneously served for ten years as the Chair of the Professional Responsibility Committee and for nine years as the firm’s designated Ethics and Conflicts Partner. In these roles, he routinely delivered lectures to the firm’s offices in ten cities regarding how to prevent legal malpractice. This experience makes him well qualified to handle lawsuits involving unethical behavior of attorneys and similar fiduciary professionals.

Mr. Mooney earned his law degree at the top-tier Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia, where he graduated with the third-highest GPA in a class of 234 students. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s (UPenn) Wharton School, widely regarded as the best business school in the country.

Mr. Mooney is a licensed member of the bar in Pennsylvania, with admission to DC and Virginia pending. He is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States. For decades, he has served as a judge pro tempore on the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and as a volunteer attorney for the Support Center for Child Advocates.
